When to use a public feed URL versus uploading a Google Shopping XML file to FeedScrub.
Prefer a public HTTPS feed URL when your platform hosts a continuously updated Google Shopping feed — FeedScrub fetches it server-side with SSRF protections.
Upload or paste XML when the feed is behind authentication, only available as a download, or you want to audit an exported snapshot before uploading to Merchant Center.
Both paths use the same rules engine. Maximum size is 4 MB. Never submit feeds you are not authorized to process.
